W hat does the opening of the first seal of the Apocalypse, the first Zionist convention and the introduction of pizza into America by baker Antonio Totonno Perro at Lombardi’s grocery store in New York have in common?  While the later is the essence1 of the Roman Empire becoming established in the New World, these three very real religious experiences occurred in the same year.

 

 

What prompted Jesus to call for the seven scrolls and open the first of seven seals?

 

It was—

 

  • The theory of evolution not as an adjunct to but replacement of scriptural creationism.

 

  • The worldwide resurgence of humanistic philosophy.

 

  • The worldwide resurgence in anti-Semitism.

 

While the Great Enlightenment gave way to the clash between a renewed reformation and secular philosophies in the 19th century, our Messiah’s responded to this rapidly degrading world condition.  He determined to make ready the final generation before His return.

 

In so doing, He let humanism go forth conquering—the rider on the white horse, looking good but in reality sinister, with only a bow but no arrows and therefore not killing—as the first of several birth pangs.  These birth pangs, foretold in His Olivet Discourse, to precede His Second Coming must come as travail before a new era.  The Millennial Kingdom will once and for all correct these sins.  And while the later is yet to come, this rider has a ticket to ride, until then.

 

The two Great World Wars, Nations against Nations, Kingdoms against Kingdoms, were allowed to thwart the two resurgences.  The three defeats and one to soon come of Islam, as a force opposed to both His spiritual and earthly kingdoms are further episodes in what the riders of the Apocalypse has in store, particularly in efforts to challenge the chosen people.  Until their final time for Israel to finish their transgressions, these riders will continue to do their work.

    • Pope in Upper Room calling land for peace – Abomination that causeth desolations.
    • Intifada – desolations.
    • West Bank (the Mountains of Israel) walled villages, strife from the nations – Ezekiel 36.
    • The Gog of Magog War: 9-11 and the aftermath; Afghanistan and the Iraq Insurgency.
    • End of the Fifth Trumpet 60 year [5 month: 5 x 12] Divine prohibition of nuclear war.

    2  While humanism has been professed since almost the beginning of the written word, this philosophy exploded in varied institutions of the 19th century.  Darwin, Marx and Neitzche were among its champions.  Accompanying this explosion was renewed worldwide anti-Semitism.  Our Lord had enough; He called for the sealed scrolls and was worthy to open them.  In so doing, He released the riders of the Apocalypse.  The first rider, on the white horse, caused humanism to go forth conquering but not killing; as seen with a bow and no arrows.  In response shortly thereafter, the world saw the First Zionist Convention (1897).  The last generation of 120 years was set in motion.  Until the Great Tribulation, the birth pangs spoken of by the Christ on the Mount of Olives has been seen.

    3  Nations against nations, Kingdoms against kingdoms has always been a Jewish idiom for global warfare.  We saw its first occurrence in the Great War later know as World War I.  After a half hour silence in heaven (20years, 305 days and some 8 hours), this war essentially resumed as the Second World War.  The killing of one third of mankind by the fire, the smoke and the brimstone will be seen as the Third.  Nevertheless, there will be (and has) lesser wars of major influence upon mankind; and they will continue unto the Armageddon gathering and the final battle for Jerusalem which will take place during The Day of the Lord.

    4  The first occurrence of worldwide proportions since the opening of the Seals was the Spanish Influenza of 1918; over 50 million perished.  There will be more.

    5  We saw worldwide shortages as a result of the Great War, and many thereafter, especially where Islam driven strife acerbated the situations.

    6  As a result of the Holocaust, which saw its inception in the first five trumpet events.

    8  Will we see a global thermonuclear war on a limited basis which one third of mankind will perish and the other two-thirds survive?  The answer is most certainly [Zechariah 12].  Most certainly because the Bible tells us it will be so.  Biblical prophecy has never failed.  God’s word is true. To believe otherwise is to ignore all the history of mankind that has fulfilled such prophecies, to a precision that could never be consequential nor statically predicted.


    9  What the peals of thunder are, we are not told. Both Daniel and John were told to seal up this portion of the prophecy. But it is something bad; as it made them sick.


    10  While a forthcoming nuclear conflagration will see the killing of one third of mankind as stated by the fire, the smoke and the brimstone, there is another peril just as sinister and harmful that may effect all on the planet.  This effect may be one or all of the seven peals of thunder—but of course this is speculation as we are never told what the seven peals bring forth.  Both Daniel and John had seen them in their respective visions, but were told to seal them up.  And we know it was so terrible that it made one sick to the stomach.  So what could be worse than the killing of one third of mankind?  Could this peril be the aftereffects of the Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP) that is generated by thermonuclear devices?  Would their effect be more harmful?  Will the effects the very political, economic and religious nature of mankind who survived the initial conflagration? see yada yada yada
