The Bible and its People

 

In the beginning was Adam.  Those patriarchs lived under a spiritual rule.  Enoch walked with God but others became corrupt.  Noah through Abraham lived under a simple faith in God.  Abraham’s children became an unruly clan and needed religion.  Moses gave them religion.  Religion became corrupt.  Christ came to abolish religion.  Simple belief in “the way” was the divine order of things.  But that was not good enough for the Apostle Paul, who brought back religion.  John wrote letters to the seven Churches telling them they stink.  Jesus spits out the Laodicean Church, and will take up only true believers with the spirit of brotherhood.  Abraham’s children, the whole house of Israel, not just the Jews, will be given a last chance.  All else is commentary.
